Missed clues are possible but in most cases other clues should point the players back to key bits of information. Overall, this is a fairly short and straightforward adventure. Spotting the path to the final encounter has a key roll, but if the players found previous clues, they should be looking for the path and a secondary Tracking check will also lead them there, albeit a bit less directly. The clearing at the end of the path reveals a series of concrete slabs.Following the path found when approaching the house leads the players to a chance of a combat encounter with a ghoul and the next step of the adventure.The subject can be spoken to and will be open with what he knows, but he has a split personality, so he will not have much to convey to the players.This room contains a clue as to the nature of the threat. One of the bedrooms is locked from the inside and requires passing a Strength check to break open or climbing in from outside.If the players already have the floorplans, they will automatically know the room is half the size it should be. The Master bedroom requires a Spot Hidden check that reveals a secret passage that leads to a secret library which includes a Mythos text.The house can be searched and most rooms contain no clues or checks. A Track roll on the way up will reveal that heavy vehicles have been here recently (same info as Town hall above) and direct them to the path to the clearing. A Spot Hidden check allows the players to notice a path into the woods east of the house. The players should find their way to the subject's house.Townspeople: Credit Rating or Oratory for some town gossip that points them back to the main subject of the investigation.Library: Library Use roll provides some backstory and info that a person in town is connect to the occult.They can also gain a floorplan for the main suspect's house (other clues might lead them to be interested in seeking this). Town Hall: Law or Oratory to gain access to town records that point the players to the next stage of the adventure.Psychology roll for more backstory and another clue pointing to the next stop in the adventure. A Library Use roll to gain a clue about the timeline of the witness. Sanatorium: Psychology or Debate roll to gain access to witness or records.Players are given backstory and a direct path to the next part of the adventure. Police Station: Law or Oratory check to learn about specific cases of disappearances.The investigation involves visiting a number of places in town:.It is assumed the players will want to investigate.
